Pitchforks & Balloons

Darren and Claire were surprised by pitchforks when they walked out of the church on their wedding day! A rural touch in a rural setting in the heart of Somerset and later at Somerton Court armfuls of balloons were let loose to soar into the sky. Caroline Wood Photography captured the whole sequence of events from the very start of the day to the evenings first dance>

Caroline Wood went to Wales

Caroline Wood Photography went to Wales. The service was to be at Glascwm Church but there were so many bats in the belfry (honest!) it had to be moved to Llanelwedd and then on to The Pavilion at The Royal Welsh Showground. The sun did shine ... just ... just enough to lighten and brighten and help the wedding photographer capture the real warmth and happiness of the occasion. Antonia's smile helped too of course. It was radiant.

Why not a winter wedding ....

A December wedding and the sun shone brilliantly. Married at All Saint's Church near Taunton and then onto the beautiful medieval Cothay Manor, said to be the finest example of a small medieval manor in England dating back to the 14th century. It is surrounded by 12 acres of magical gardens. A stunning location for a wedding. Guided by candlelight at dusk to the gatehouse and then into the warmth of The Great Hall.

A Somerset Wedding

'We've received the disc - wow! The pictures are stunning and please put a selection online - what beautiful shots!' A message from Steve and Amy who live in Canada but came home to Somerset to get married. There was a service at West Hatch and then onto Combe House near Honiton for the wedding reception and Chinese Tea Ceremony!
